The Church of Saint Anne

Founded in 1846, it is located just 2.7 km away (6-minute drive) from Taman Daya Maju. Each year, it attracts around 100,000 Catholics from all over the world, who take part in the St Anne’s Novena and Feast, which lasts for 10 days.

The Mengkuang Dam

A popular recreational spot for locals, located  just 9.5 km (17-minute drive) away. The beautiful surroundings make it ideal for evening strolls, exercise and quiet reflection. This site also hosts the annual International Dragon Boat Festival, an exciting cultural event that never fails to attract thousands of enthusiastic spectators.

From his humble workshop on Jalan Danby, Bukit Mertajam, Mr Tan Yang Ling has been making traditional Chinese clogs by hand for over 55 years.
